Ashley Mowrey
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Ashley Mowrey, a seasoned professional with over 25 years of agency and corporate experience spanning digital marketing, social media, influencer marketing, public relations, and crisis communications. Prior to co-founding Canton Street Communications, Ashley built and led the brand communications team at Newell Brands, providing strategic support to a global portfolio of iconic brands such as Sharpie, Coleman, Graco, Rubbermaid, and Yankee Candle, among others. In her over 10 years at Cohn & Wolfe and Ketchum, she developed award-winning public relations campaigns for clients, including The Home Depot, Wendy’s, The Coca-Cola Company, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, The PGA of America.
In 2018, Ashley developed the strategic approach and real-time social and traditional media response for the #CrockPotIsInnocent campaign stemming from the ‘This Is Us’ storyline alleging the beloved main character Jack was killed by a janky Crock-Pot. Her remarkable career is punctuated by a string of accolades, including a Silver Cannes Lion, a Silver Clio, and PRSA Silver Anvils, all testament to her ability to craft and execute award-winning campaigns that yield tangible business and communications outcomes.
A proud graduate of Southern Methodist University (Go ponies!), Ashley finds joy outside the office in her roles as a loving wife and mother to three remarkable boys, Evan (20), Chase (18), and Connor (15). She embodies the perfect balance of professional expertise and personal fulfillment, inspiring all those around her to reach greater heights.
Amanda Ellis
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Amanda is a communications professional with over 15 years of experience in influencer marketing, social media, and public relations. A recognized thought leader in the field, Amanda has spent her career leveraging digital platforms to connect with audiences and skyrocket brand recognition. Her passion for bringing brands to life through communications shines through in everything she does.
Before co-founding Canton Street Communications, Amanda played a pivotal role at Newell Brands, creating and building the influencer marketing strategy for their iconic brands, including Elmer’s, Coleman, Crock-Pot, and Baby Jogger. She also gained valuable experience working at agencies on brands including AT&T, Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q, and Taqueria del Sol, further solidifying her expertise in crafting compelling narratives and driving brand engagement.
Passionate about fostering relationships, Amanda actively participated in employee resource groups in prior roles, supporting women in the workplace, championing initiatives that promote equality and growth.
A proud Georgia Southern University alum, Amanda now resides in Roswell, GA, with her husband, Matt, and their two amazing kiddos, Ethan (6) and Madeline (4). Whether she’s strategizing a groundbreaking campaign or enjoying family time, Amanda is truly a force to be reckoned with.
